Subject: Electoral College
Date Sent: 5 May 2026
Contrary to media claims, there is no such thing as the Electoral College. Article II, Section One of the Constitution: “Each state shall appoint…electors”. Electors are chosen by political parties, usually at
state party conventions, or by the party’s central committee. They are not elected by voters, per se.
The number of Electors allowed for each state are determined by “…the number equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives….” In other words, each state has two senators and if it has six representatives, that state has eight electors. The Presidential candidate who ends up with the most electoral votes wins regardless of who won the national popular vote.
Electors must vote for the winner of the popular vote in their state. There is no federal punishment if an elector does not vote for the winner, but some states may punish/remove faithless electors.
This system protects less populated states. California, for example, has a significantly larger population than Wyoming, yet each has only two senators. If, after counting the electoral votes, no candidate receives a majority, the House of Representatives, by ballot, determines who shall be the president. For this House vote, each state has only one vote.

The crisis in the Mideast seems to bounce up and down like a yo-yo. Who really has control of the world’s oil supply bottleneck? A ‘kick-the-can-down-the-road – temporary solution – would be to build pipelines and/or a canal through Orman or United Arab Emirates bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. A more decisive option: nuke Tehran. Yeah, I know, mass killing of civilian populations is counter to the ‘rules of war’. But who makes and enforces unenforceable limits – the powerless UN? Of all previous wars only one, WWII, was an unlimited conflict where civilian population centers were obliterated.
A nuclear attack destroying Tehran would send a very strong message to China. Is it better we send the message than wait for their message when they nuke Manila or Taipei?
Now that Pope Leo XIV has entered the political arena someone might clue him in that Trump is not the enemy and neither is Iran - it’s the Muslims who have been championing sharia law and using their proxies to kill or convert all infidels. Psst, Leo…you, me and our fellow Catholics, Jews, Christians are the infidels.
As the yo-yo spins, is the West just walking the dog while Iran sleepwalks?

Numerous Americans hate Trump so much they would ignore/deny an unquestionable presence of G-d who would unequivocally and publicly declare Donald J. Trump is the Massiah or is the return of Jesus. It’s called the Trump Derangement Syndrome a non-medical term to describe an intense, irrational, and emotional rejection of him. They would rather America fail than credit him for MAGA.
Then there’s the Deranged Trump Syndrome whereas those (including Trump himself) love him so much they/he are irrational about reality – some to the point believing G-d has already anointed him with His blessing and powers. They fear America will fail without him.
These devout extremists are so nonsensical that it impairs their judgment and causes them to abandon logic or reason. Logic and reason, being subjective, are logically and reasonably defined as: Only identifiable citizens can vote; Women’s sports are for women only; A preemptive military strike is better than a defensive backhand; DEI should not replace competence; Illegal immigration of persons or contraband is illegal – no exceptions.
Goaded by various media sources, America has become so divided and overtly influenced by the far left and right that we might be destined to become just another has-been empire.

Date Sent: 14 Apr 2026
Even though Tesla has exhibited supremacy in electric vehicle development, the EV revolution got off to a bad start due to a few isolated, but well publicized, reports of car and cell phone battery fires. Hurting worse was the lack of conformity for charging stations/plugs. China and European car makers are expanding their increasingly better EV models while Ford, GM and Honda, being unable to catch-up with the technology, scaled back their battery-tech programs after Trump relaxed federal mandates.
Recently, I took advantage of the free state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery offer by purchasing a new Stihl chainsaw (these batteries cost almost as much as the chainsaw). I understand deals and discounts to increase sales…but why would they giveaway inventory? The reason might be newer technology is coming – solid-state battery. SSBs not only increase range and decrease charge time for motor vehicles but are void of rare earth/precious metals and flammable liquids.
Questions remain concerning grid capacity that is diminished by demand of the increasing number of everything going electric from lawnmowers to toothbrushes … and the mega-consuming datacenters currently under construction. Of course, no problem even if you live in Sun-Don’t-Shine, East Overshoe Nowhere - home solar panels might suffice.

Hair Style: Why do so many of today’s girls and women part their hair down the middle in a straight, flat, unimaginative, copycat style? Are they aware they are signifying their acquiescence to conformity, i.e., socialism/communism? Goldilocks on men…come on.
Congested Roadways: The dream of the perfect ride is where you can push it on a demanding road or in slippery conditions without terrifying yourself but having enough gusto to get some stirring numbers on the speedo and ample oomph to drift a corner using only the throttle…but with limited probability of testing guardrail strength or getting the sort of speeding citation that garners time served and a Rolex level fine.
American/Israeli Limited war with Iran: WW2 was the last Unlimited war (bombing of civilians – A-Bomb). Religious fanatics never capitulate; thus, Iran’s only way out might be to transmit words to the effect: “We have been wounded, it is now up to Allah to slay The Great Satan.” We have to ramp it up – win - this war of good versus evil … loser faces war-crimes trials?

Like most major cities the Atlanta police department can access about 25,000 cameras, 20,000 of which come from the private sector. Couple that with eyeball, facial, voice, DNA, license plate readers, contraband-sniffing dogs/robots, drones, cell phone pings, airport scanners and all the stuff they know about you via the internet/social media … and you ain’t got no secrets.
In George Orwell’s novel, 1984, he predicted the “thought police”. Today, mind-reading might not be possible (yet), but with all the AI-enabled, integrated and intertwined cybersecurity tools, our government (and maybe hackers in foreign nations) have been very successful in predicting when, where, how and what a criminal did…or is planning to do.
The big test is coming in 2028. In addition to regular mega events such as the Super Bowl, World Series, Chicago Lollapalooza, Indianapolis 500, Times Square NYE… America will host the Summer Olympics while experiencing the DNC and RNC conferences plus the presidential election. There are only about 750K local, state and federal sworn LEOs; they will be strained and spread pretty thin. Thus, if terrorists are plotting attacks they better be better than all of the above surveillance measures – or at least as good as the Nancy Guthrie kidnappers.

Subject: The Needs of Democrats
Date Sent: 24 Mar 2026
Former Congressman Rahm Emanuel recently lectured in a WSJ Op-ed: “[Democrats]…need an agenda…need a cohesive economic program…will need an approach to…what people need to hear isn’t about the process but clear articulation of the strategy”. His message seems to key on the word “need”. Typical of a lecturer, he tenders no suggestions on exactly how to achieve these wishful “needs”. An arguably more accurate quote of George Bernard Shaw: Those who can, do; those that can’t, lecture.
Mr. Emanuel continues his true Islamic, dictatorial sermon: “…no individual figure or nation can be given license to undermine regional stability as exemplified by Benjamin Netanyahu’s willingness to allow settlers to terrorize West Bank residents.” But I guess he’s okay with the exemplification of an Ayatollah terrorizing fellow Iranian citizens while fostering forever wars against Israel?
Perhaps a future lecturer will tout what the Dems need to DO: Support common sense measures such as voter ID, no boys in girls sports, law enforcement funding, complying with federal laws…. Oh yeah, and stop opposing everything Trump and Republicans do – even a broken clock is right twice a day. America became great because voters voted for deeds done - not promises and aspirations.

Subject: IRAN WAR - Good/Bad News
Date Sent: 17 Mar 2026
Good News: Iran’s plan A - attack their neighboring Muslim countries - has resulted in their missiles, drones, munitions being used against these other nations rather than against us.
Bad News: Oil shipments from the war zone are causing a temporary spike in pump prices and downturn in the stock market requiring us to lift oil sanctions on Russian oil.
Good News: The tight supply of oil is an incentive for more drilling in the western hemisphere and bargains in the stock market…and thank you DJT for securing the Venezuelan oil for us.
Bad news: Though our military will always experience accidental deaths; war adds combat deaths.
Good News: We get to test our weapons and showcase out military capabilities to China, Russia and anyone else who want to mess with us.
Bad News: The world, per se., continues to ignore the existential threat is not Iran’s military, but the Muslim take-over of western nations by immigration of those who refuse to assimilate, i. e., remain sworn to the allegiance of Sharia Law.
Good News: The rest of the world, including other Muslim nations, is coming to realize Iran’s ideology of convert or die doesn’t fit in.

Subject: Future LEOs
Date Sent: 10 Mar 2026
Due to recent and obvious training failures (ICE in MN) and calls for funding cuts it is becoming difficult to recruit suitable LEOs. Suitable as in one who desires to help others while at the same time has a strong sense of right and wrong.
Solution: Make a HS class in policing mandatory to present the reasons, the qualifications and the wherewithal of policing. Such a class would provide impressionable soon-to-be-adults with the canons that are the backbone of law enforcement officers: #1 No Lying, No Cheating, No Stealing, No Exceptions, No Excuses. #2 Vital Exigent Circumstance and the Doctrine of the Lesser of Two Evils notwithstanding. #3 The competence to know the differences.
Mentored by local, county and state police agencies, students would gain a perception into the relation between citizens’ rights and police duties. Class excursions to LE training academies, penal institutions and trial court facilities could be very educational. Though underage, these high-schoolers could not be taught how to use physical/lethal force, but more importantly, when to deploy such controls. The tutelage and involvement this next generation of responsible citizens would gain - even if most don't become LEOs - would be beneficial to all Americans.

Subject: SCOTUS and Doctrines
Date Sent: 3 Mar 2026
The Supreme Court based the legality of Trump’s tariffs on the “Major Questions Doctrine” meaning Congress must use exceptionally clean language if it wants to restrict select powers of the executive branch. Tariffs are not mentioned in the Constitution, thus, if Congress wishes to create hand-picked powers they must specifically and preemptively do so. The MQD is a governmental creation inasmuch as no such rule/doctrine is listed or implied in the Constitution. In other words, since the laws covering tariffs were ambiguous and Congress had failed to specifically prohibit Trump’s tariffing, he had the duty to utilize tariffs as an economic measure to protect our economy, borders and foreign policy.
In addition, the Guilt Beyond a Reasonable Doubt Doctrine: There can be no guilt when ambiguous laws, rules, doctrines and words/terms that are not in the Constitution are reasonably doubtful.
Finally, SCOTUS ignored the Doctrine of the Lessor of Two Evils. The Court chose the greater evil: An attempt to put the genie back in the bottle by retroactively restricting POTUS tariff power to set foreign policy, reverse trade imbalances and halt illegal drugs importation. The lessor evil: Dismiss the case granting exceptional Executive Branch powers. Even SCOTUS ain’t perfect!

Subject: The Secret to Life....
Date Sent: 24 Feb 2026
The Secret to Life is the Ability to Adapt to Change. I’ve been facing that challenge for the past few months. I’m voluntarily giving up an appendage and a mindset that has been part of me everyday, all day for 60+ years: I’ve stopped carrying a concealed firearm.
I’ve carried, or had close at hand, a firearm all my adult life – most of that time before licensing and constitutional-carry laws and rules. I’ve packed everywhere, including airplanes (pre-1970), banks, bars, places of worship, hospitals.… Though I’ve never had to shoot anyone, I wouldn’t be writing this today had I not had a firearm on a number of occasions as a civilian, cop or licensed private investigator. The decision to forgo this virtual appendage was not easy to make.
I didn’t stop because I was 83 years old. Old is not numerical. Old is defined as substantive losses of physical and/or mental competencies. The losses (reasons) were found in self-testing – the procedure and details, with photos, are fully
described in my recently published treatise for the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors: Self-Imposed Limits of Carrying Concealed Firearms I’m adapting – Life Don’t Get No Better.

Subject: Drones
Date Sent: 17 Feb 2026
Aerial, unmanned, expendable vehicles are becoming very high-level battlefield weapons. Though we currently have the most sophisticated and largest inventory of military drones, Russia, Iran and especially China are rapidly closing in. On the homefront, worries about domestic drone attacks on large public gatherings are becoming a significant concern. Currently, only certain federal agencies and military bases can legally splash them.
Exigent circumstance notwithstanding, destruction of aircraft is a federal crime for civilians – and local police. Congress is considering a bill to allow property owners to shoot down low-flying drones over their land. However, doing so is no different than shooting an arrow or bullet into the air; gravity impacted objects, such as drone pieces that injure someone, are a civil liability concern.
Drones are being considered by some LE agencies as first responders. In other words, when you call 911, the “responding cop” might only be a drone with a camera and communication capabilities. Dispatchers will, supposedly, watch a live video feed to assess threats, victims, hazards, and needed resources. The proliferation of LE Drones might be a step toward a safer community… or maybe just another scheme to de-arm police by reducing force size?

Subject: America-As-It-Was
Date Sent: 10 Feb 2026
At the start of Trump 2.0 Democrats worried about the future for their children, grandchildren and themselves. Republicans had the same worries. We all want to return to an America-As-It-Was. Democrats, seem to place the time at 2021 – Republicans, circa 1950.
Do Democrats believe that if returning to their America-As-It-Was: China would play nice militarily and economically? Russia would be inspired to cease imperialism? Uncontrolled immigration is stainable? Immigrants who do not aspire to assimilate are not a danger to us? Iran would not produce nuclear weapons and then use them? Iranian backed Islamic terrorist would leave Israel alone? Europe should not have to pay their fair share of NATO? We should support the powerless UN? The threatening to “take” Greenland has not prompted Denmark to send arms to them and brought the EU closer together? Tariffs do not help American businesses? Foreign countries should be allowed to export illegal drugs to the United States? Federal laws should not be enforced?
Both parties would surely agree that the above concerns are indeed concerns. However, Dems tend to foster solutions by domestic violence and foreign appeasement whereas to Republicans, that approach hasn’t worked and thus champion constitutional rule and America First.

Subject: Minnesota Failures
Date Sent: 3 Feb 2026
The Biden Administration failed to adequately control our borders allowing an unprecedented number of illegal immigrants to invade America. Many of these criminals settled in Minnesota. This Democrat controlled state then provided these infiltrators with taxpayer paid benefits while facilitating scamming federal assistance programs. The governor and the mayor of the City of Minneapolis failed to compel the local and state police to comply with their sworn duty to protect all citizens (ICE agents are also citizens). In addition, these elected officials failed to realize – and then to walk-back - their anti-American rhetoric was encouraging their constituents to disrupt enforcement of federal law.
Trump 2.0 failed to comprehend that city and state sanctioned resistance would result in chaos and that ICE agents were not adequately trained in use-of-force protocol. Additionally, the administration failed to have weather protected containment areas for kettling (herding/corralling) out-control- protesters/rioters.
Cities and states are subservient to the federal government - not vice-versa. For a city or state to officially ignore, much less embolden, violations of federal law will bring about the failure of America. Survivability of a republic depends upon voting – not mob rule and/or subverting enforcement of the law.

If you’re mistreated by a local police officer, complaining to the Chief is usually not satisfying. However, in most major cities there is a civilian police review board. Though these independent groups of citizens can investigate incidents and make recommendations, they generally do not have the power to terminate officers or impose penalties. This complaint process/system is free to citizens as opposed to filing a costly lawsuit.
At the federal level there are no civilian review boards. Complaints against agents of the ATF, FBI, DHS, CBP, et al. - tell it to the judge. The creation of a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement Review Board, regardless of its power, abilities or effectiveness, would surely calm things down when these agents are involved in subjective tactics.
Heretofore, an unwritten rule existed whereas enemy nations did not attack leaders of state or their families. We did not go after the Emperor of Japan or Hitler’s family and, in turn, #10 Downing Street nor Blair House were ever targeted. Recently, Ukraine sent a drone toward Putin’s home and the President of Venezuela and his wife were kidnapped.
Some things have changed, and some things need to change…today, it’s a new ball game. Batter up!

1) While driving your car another vehicle, intentionally or not, causes you to crash and there is no debris - physical evidence of a collision. The burden to prove it’s the other guy’s fault falls to you. In other words, injured passengers/pedestrians will claim it was your poor judgement that caused the accident.
**********
2) There are three reasons to lock the doors to your home:
a) To keep honest people honest.
b) If a burglary occurs, police and insurance companies are very suspicious of theft claims sans proof of forced entry.
c) If physical violence becomes necessary to defend yourself or home and there is no evidence of forced entry, the police will suspect you invited the person in. This person will probably contend you are the aggressor, thus claiming you are both criminally and civilly libel. If the person is killed, his family, without evidence of illegal entry, will sue you.
**************
3) Police tend to believe that the 1st to call them is usually the victim. The longer you wait the greater the doubt. Ubiquitous cell phones leave no excuse for not calling law enforcement immediately to declare you are a victim and not the aggressor.
